That speech was lovely. I have tears in my eyes. Can't wait to share it with my teenaged daugher, an aspiring actress. Thank you Nicole.

Oh goodness, I hadn't seen this since it happened. What a total sweetheart. That meant so much to my dad (and the whole family, really).

By the way, was it just me or was their some attraction on the part of Renee's character to your character in the film? I thought I caught some overtones (or undertones, whatever). I don't know whether the script writer intended that underlying message or was trying to communicate something else. Of course, given our presence in the 21st Century looking back to a different cultural and historical milieu, I may be applying our modern sensibilities to theirs and misreading the situation. I think men and women back then could be living in close quarters, so to speak, without the connotations of today with respect to lesbianism or homosexuality.

Renee was incredible in that film. I was impressed with her transformation into that character. She certainly deserved best supporting actress. And, of course, you were not so bad yourself as the minister's daughter. Jude Law was an idiot (his character) to go off to war and leave you behind.
